These data represent a working draft of the fishing effort of vessels targeting commercial dungeness crab and the special management areas for the fishery. The data were created by the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife in 2014 from available catch effort landing and management information. Small group discussions with commercial dungeness fishermen in 2015 confirmed the location and catch effort intensities for these data at the time of collection. Activities from coastal treaty tribes are not included in the spatial information. |
