The Marine Spatial Planning study area reflects the area under direct influence for Washington's planning process. The seaward line reflects a 700 fathom depth line from the water surface to the seabed. It is also the Essential Fish Habitat line used by the Pacific Fisheries Management Council. The coastal boundary is the ordinary high shorezone line used by NOAA and state agencies for planning purposes. The northern boundary is the United States Exclusive Economic Zone limit. The planning area should not be used for any planning purposes other than a study area for Marine Spatial Planning. |
