Abstract: These data represent the boundaries of electric utility service areas in Washington State. The original data was compiled by the Washington Utilities and Transportation Commission (UTC) and supplemented by electric utilities providing more accurate boundary data for their territories. A utility provided territory overwrites the UTC defined boundary. In areas where two utility provided boundaries overlapped they were asked to confirm if there was actual overlap or if the boundaries needed to be edited. Boundaries in this map should not be viewed as official and any questions about service should be directed to the utility.This dataset is maintained by the Washington State Department of Ecology's Climate Pollution Reduction Program (CPR).
Purpose: These data represent Washington State electric utility service area boundaries. These extents were created from a combination of data provided by the Washington Utilities and Transportation Commission (UTC) and electric utilities themselves.
